Mick Rotohiko Jones, a noted Māori scholar speaks in Māori about parliamentarian, Sir James Carroll [a.k.a. Ta Timi Kara or Ta Hemi Kara]. Sir James (or Timi) was noted for his wait-and- see attitude which earned him the nickname of "Taihoa" (Wait!). He was often referred to as Ta Timi Taihoa Kara.
