Today is the 14th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial and Mobilisation Day with ceremonies throughout this country getting underway this evening - in Auckland, at 7pm.
Auckland's inner city church, St. Matthews-in-the-City is the traditional venue for this annual event in Auckland and many hundreds of people are expected to attend.
A small planning group has been bringing together the many elements which will make up tonight's ceremonies. The group's been led by Russell Holmes who joins us now.
