Presented this week by Libby Hakaraia and Hēnare Te Ua from the Radio New Zealand Studios, Auckland, on National Radio.

[Recording started during the interview with Dr. Pita Sharples.]

Interview: Dr Pita Sharples.
Talks about his work with West Auckland's Hoani Waititi Marae; kohanga reo, kura kaupapa Māori, whare wānanga and Te Roopu Manutaki Māori Culture Group.

Tribute: Irihapeti Elizabeth Rehu-Murchie.
The death last week of Irihapeti Murchie saw the close of the life of a person proud of her Kati Mamoe/ Kāi Tahu tribal links.
Hēnare Te Ua recorded her talking and singing at Waihirere Marae in December 1991. [excerpt of archival recording.]

At her tangi at Arowhenua Marae last Wednesday, Hēnare spoke with many people who had special memories of Irihapeti - one was Hana Te Hemara.
Interview: Hana Te Hemara recalls her first meeting with Irihapeti.
Interview: Sir Tipene O'Regan, who speaks about the impact of Irihapeti Murchie.
