Narrated by Ulric Williams.
First gathering, 24th March 1943 - Opening of Tama-te-kapua Meeting House, Rotorua. Ngāti Poneke singing "Pamai" and Te Whanau-a-Apanui singing a Patere or lament, for the children drowned in the Motu River.
Second gathering, 1943 Ruatoria - VC Award ceremony by the Govenor General, Sir Cyril Newell, presented to the Parents of Lt. Te-Moana-nui-a-kiwa Ngarimu. Here is the classic Ngāti Porou haka called "Ko Ruamoko".
Third gathering, 12th and 13th September, 1947. The Opening of the Uepohatu Meeting House at Waiamatatini. Children singing "Takiri takiri" and finally, "Haere mai ra".
