The advertisement showed a young woman jogging with a binding around one of her knees. The voice-over said: "… I try not to let pain get in my way. And I always choose what's best for me. Panadol, it's my choice."

The Complainant said the message "we can train through pain better if we partly eliminate it with drugs" was inappropriate, especially for children.

Code for Therapeutic Advertising, Principles 2 and 5.

The Complaints Board said it promoted a medicinal product to the adult market and would not have a direct impact on children. Furthermore, it had been prepared with the requisite high level of social responsibility and did not encourage inappropriate consumption.
