Families evacuated during the Christchurch fires are returning home after a traumatic 48 hours. Authorities say the blaze is now under control but warn that the threat of flare ups still exists. Irena Smith met two people who shared different experiences of the inferno. One had an important role coordinating the fire fight, and a couple whose home was all too close to the flame's destructive path.
