000:00 Yachtsmen prepare for the annual Anniversary Day Regatta on Waitemata Harbour. The Governor General and Lady Norrie start the A-Class Keeler race by pulling the cord of a miniature canon. Due to the lack of wind , the 18 keelers do not provide the large crowd with much of a spectacle.

001:47 AVIATION, APRICOTS AND ACTORS: The services of the National Airways Corporation extend to a wide variety of freight. In Southland, women pick apricots which are later flown from Roxburgh to the fruit shops of the North Island in a “fruit airlift”. At the NAC freight depot in the city, parcels are sorted, loaded and unloaded.
The curtain goes down on the New Zealand Players in Oamaru, tomorrow night they will be performing in Wellington. Their arrival at the Paraparaumu air field coincides with the arrival of their equipment. Director, Richard Campion supervises the unloading.

At Harewood airport, a Canterbury farmer watches his prize bull being loaded onto an Nac plane. The farmer and the bull are bound for the Royal Show in Palmerston North. The animals are secured in pens and the captain checks his cargo. Shows the farmer leading the bull around the ring at the show.
