Opening title: A “UNAROY” FILM . THE BIG TE PUKE FLOOD . JUN 1ST 1962.
Brown water floods roads, paddocks and bridges. Small rivers have become swollen and fast flowing. Parts of road have washed away, people are transported to high ground on a trailer towed by a tractor. Community members stand by a bridge (likely closed to vehicles). Sections of road are submerged and some heavy vehicles cross while small cars park above the floodwater. A convoy of cars slowly drive along a flooded road. Sodden paddocks are like lakes.
