Title : “Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry Consecration And Presentation Of Guidon, Hagley Park Chrustchurch, April 11th 1937”.

The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry and the 8th Mounted Rifles parade in Hagley Park. Seated dignitaries and crowd throngs the edges of the park and observes.

Sir Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, Honorary Colonel of the Regiment, arrives in long black car.

The Governor General Viscount Galway receives the Royal Salute and inspects the regiment.

The Guidon - the pennant of the regiment - is blessed by Archbishop Julius before being presented to the regiment by the Govenor General via a succession of officers.

A lone soldier on horseback bears the guidon aloft.
