Introduction by the Bandmaster Lieutenant Louis Fox.
"The band sailed for New Caledonia in December 1942. Its service has
been as an entertainment unit, although the men have trained and
qualified as marksmen with every type of small arms. Programmes range
from a two hour variety show to an educational recital and there are
some talented individual artists. The band has presented 164 concerts
in 291 days and travelled 5625 miles. It has also played at concerts
for the U.S. Forces".
