Messages from two NZBU staff stationed in New Caledonia. Don Cameron to 2YA staff and friends; and Vivian Spencer to 2YH staff, and family and friends at Napier and Opapa.

Don Cameron says he is doing well, the weather has been cooler and more agreeable, and the mosquitos fewer and far between. He says the battery charger and canvas covers have been very useful, and extends thanks for rubber grommets also. He thanks Cam for the letters. He says he has a big job servicing radio sets - nearly every receiver that the National Patriotic Fund people have got lately have been out of order.

He wrote a letter to the 'Control Room Cads', which has probably been received. He then sends a personal message home - sending greetings to his mother, Jean and Noel, and best wishes to Mrs Wilson and Gordon. He then says hello to Val and asks how the car is going, and asks after other people back home.

Vivian Spencer then says hello to his friends at 2YH, and cheerio to the boys at Opapa. He then speaks to his wife and family, saying it is hot and sunny as usual, and thanks them for his birthday presents. He says Caroline and Hugh must be getting big, and hopes he recognises them when he gets home. He thanks them for the hankies and socks. He will spend another Christmas away, but is looking forward to being home again.
