PINK, ROBERT

Part 2 of 2

Talk by Seargent Robert Pink of Hamilton about the landing and taking of
Nissan Island.

"We were not fired on as we landed. We set out to search for the
Japanese. After a few days of slogging through the jungle we cornered a
party of Japanese and attacked them. soon the enemy was cleared from the
Island. now that the fighting is over we have time to meet some of the
natives and talk to them in pidgin English".
