Part 13 of 14
The second part of a New Zealand Broadcasting Unit recording of a talk for the programme "Here, There and Everywhere", by Peter Haddon.

Haddon talks about the growing popularity of the Middle East Forces Programme which he produces and broadcasts for an hour a day. A quarter of an hour is for the Indian troops and the balance for British troops.

He describes its composition and in particular makes special mention of the NZBU staff; Noel Palmer, Johnny Johnston and Doug Laurenson, for their help, support and encouragement.

This item is part of a collection of recordings made by the Mobile Broadcasting Units, which travelled overseas with New Zealand forces between 1940-1945. They recorded New Zealanders' experiences of war and messages to their families and friends, which were sent back home to be played on a weekly radio programme.
