1. Yachtsman, Adrian Hayter, sailed a small boat from England to New Zealand single handed and talks about the vovage.
2. Dame Nellie Melba is remembered by Stella Murray.
3. Queen Elizabeth II delivers her Christmas message in 1959.
4. Reverend A. L. Canter, a minister and 4YA rugby commentator, recalls the test match between New Zealand and the British Isles held in Dunedin on 21 Jun 1930. It resulted in New Zealand's first ever loss to a British team. His radio commentary was recorded simultaneously on film by cameraman Jack Welsh, and as such is the oldest recorded sports broadcast in our collection. 5. A description of Wellington Airport and its building.
6. Alfred Perano, one of the original partners who founded the Perano Brothers whaling station, tells of many incidents at sea and of trading in the sounds.
