4. Reverend A. L. Canter, a minister and 4YA rugby commentator, recalls the test match between New Zealand and the British Isles held in Dunedin on 21 Jun 1930. It resulted in New Zealand's first ever loss to a British team. His radio commentary was recorded simultaneously on film by cameraman Jack Welsh, and as such is the oldest recorded sports broadcast in our collection.
