Pacific leaders are set to gather for their annual talk fest, this time in Auckland they are being told they must deal with the Fiji issue; Nicholas Sarkozy waves to tricolor in New Caledonia; Sir Michael Somare may be back in PNG by tomorrow after five months medical care in Singapore; The head of Exxon Mobil's subsidiary, Esso Highlands Ltd, has denied claims that the company is neglecting the security of its staff in the Liquified Natural Gas Project in Papua New Guinea; The United States Census Bureau has just released its 2010 Population counts for the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Guam and American Samoa; The New Zealand Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs is gauging community views on its draft Pacific Languages Framework; and The Pacific Games has reached (as of Saturday ) the halfway stage in New Caledonia with the home side dominating the medal tally.
