Brigadier (Retired) Dr Brian Thomas McMahon CBE KStJ KCLJ is the Anzac of the year 2011, an award established by the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association (RNZRSA). A former Director General Defence Force Medical Services with 40 years military experience, he served in Malaysia, Vietnam, United Kingdom and Singapore. He is also a medical lecturer at Otago Medical School, patron of the NZ Vietnam Health Trust and a member of the Leprosy Trust Board Fiji.
