CANZ Concert No. 2 (1975) features three works. They are:
1) "Chap - Chap" composed by David Farquhar. Performed by Gavin
Saunders (viola) and the audience. It was written for Saunders to play
in native villages in New Caledonia. Saunders' idea was to see how the
people reacted to Western Music, and Farquhar's to try and involve the
audience in the piece. Dur: 6'13".
2) "Turks Head" composed by Noel Sanders. Performed by Robert Oliver
(tenor) and Steve Rosenberg and Graeme Dellow (crumhorns). Dur: 7'26".
3) "Composition 8" composed John Rimmer. Performed by Ronald Woodcock
(violin) and electronic sounds. Dur: 15'44".
Recorded by RNZ at a concert given at Southwell School, Hamilton, during
the Composer's Association of NZ conference, 30/08/1975, first broadcast
28/06/1976.
