An attempted mutiny within Papua New Guinea's Defence Force linked to the ongoing political standoff there, while a massive landslide has reportedly left dozens dead in Southern Highlands. Also six people confirmed dead as Fiji takes stock after widespread flooding in the country's West. Fears that the former French nuclear test sites at Mururoa and Fangataufa will remain closed. The interim Attorney-General in Fiji Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says consultations on a new constitution need to be inclusive if they are to have any credibility. One of the architects of Fiji's 1997 constitution says the world will be watching closely how the Fiji regime conducts consultations for a new constitution over coming months. A commission of inquiry will review Samoa's Electoral Act, following issues arising from last year's general election. Six women from New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea have teamed up in a moving musical performance in which they celebrate their indigenous culture and rally against entrenched stereotypes associated with being first nation women.A museum curator says there is no need to re-patriate artworks from New Ireland province in Papua New Guinea, held at the Otago museum in Dunedin.
