Side 1. Radio Digest No. 441, Part 1:

'Island Dependencies'
Miss Jean Gebbie [?] of the Girls' Life Brigade describes her recent visit to the island of Niue. She spent a month there, travelling by the only connection with the outside world - a ship which visits once a month. She comments about the lifestyle on the island which demands hard work by the people in order to get crops to grow.

'A tanker and a legend'
The United States Navy tanker 'USS Hassayampa' is currently berthed in Wellington. It is the largest to ever visit New Zealand. There is an interview with Captain Kenneth West, who talks about the origins of the ship's name, its history, and capabilities.

'The New Zealand National Orchestra changes conductors'
A special farewell concert for James Robertson was held in the Wellington Town Hall. An excerpt of a speech made at the concert by Stanley Oliver [ends mid-sentence].

Side 2.
