In this week’s programme:

1. A solution to sorcery-related violence in Papua New Guinea was one of the major themes of a conference in Canberra this week.

2. Conditions outlined by a Chinese company considering investing in Samoa have been met with alarm. In a document, the company outlines 16 conditions, which includes land-leasing for certain projects for a period of 160 years.

3. Tokelau is to ask the United Nations to take special consideration of territories to ensure they can link up with international agencies and access funding for critical projects.

4. As Pacific Island coastal villages look at relocating to escape rising seas, one community in Daku, Fiji is refusing to budge.

5. There is disappointment among French Polynesia's nuclear test veterans that last year's change of government in France didn't bring about the promised review of the compensation law.

6. A choir at Spring Hill prison made up of inmates from Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and the Cook Islands have recorded and released a CD of Pacific Island hymns and traditional songs for charity.
