Frank Bell recalls establishing the first radio communication between New Zealand and England at Shag Valley station in Otago in 1924. His sister Brenda also recalls the historic occasion from her home.

This recording was made at Shag Valley to mark the 40th anniversary of the first radio communication between Frank and Cecil Goyder of London on 18 Oct. 1924. Allan Frame and Clive Liddell also recall the events.
