Part 1.

Introduced and compered by director Terry Vaughan, who also describes the acts as they are heard: 'We are the boys from way down under'; 'Waiata poi' (chorus); female impersonator Ralph Dyer; a song from 'The Vagabond King', chorus and Wally Prictor; 'The vagabond song' from 'The Vagabond King', Maurice Double; 'The veteran', comedy monologue by Stan Wineera, 'the master of deadpan comedy'. Introduction for songs of the Māori Battalion, a medley of Māori songs by the Vocal Quintet, Taffy Owen, Tony Rex, James Lavery, Morris Double and Roy McDougall.
