This accession contains three RAW interviews and one actuality recording supplied by Karen Mangnall, Radio New Zealand's Pacific Issues correspondent. Karen notes:

Audio from the 2013 Niuean Anzac Day Service at East Tamaki School, Auckland, organised by the Mutalau Ululauta Matahefonua Trust. About 300 Niueans from all of Niue's villages attended. The names of all the Niuean soldiers were read out, and families laid flowers at the front of the hall by the flags of the Anzac countries, Niue, Cooks and United Kingdom. The package using this and other audio ran on Morning Report on April 26, 2013.

Talks about her (great) grandfather who served with NZEF in WW1, Private Mitikeli (pron: missikelly). He died May 16, 1916 in Egypt of heat stroke and is buried at Tel El Kebir War Memorial Cemetery. This interview was recorded on 23/4/13 - two days before the Anzac Day service (10m4s).

Talks about his great grandfather who served with the NZEF in WW1. Private Tipi (pron: sipi) Halavaka. This interview was recorded on 25/4/13, just after the 2013 Niuean Anzac Day service, East Tamaki (3m18s).

Talks about Niuean ANZAC commemoration plans, and his grandfather who served with the NZEF in WW1, Private Sisikefu. This interview was recorded on 25/4/13, just after the 2013 Niuean Anzac Day service, East Tamaki (8m50s).
