1. Nauru has been in turmoil this week with anti government protests at the island's parliament as the Budget was pushed through, largely unopposed. [includes an interview with Nauru MP Matthew Batsiua]

2. Prime Minister, John Key is not planning on having another discussion on UN membership with the Cook Islands Prime Minister, Henry Puna.

3. The Norfolk Island legislative assembly wound up this week with a commemorative meeting to mark its dis-establishment by the Australian Government.

4. The International Labour Organisation has reminded the Fiji government that a commission of inquiry into the country's labour practises could be launched if an agreement it signed earlier this year is not fulfilled.

5. A Dutch journalist [i.e. Rohan Radheya] working undercover in Indonesia's Papua region says foreigners venturing there remains tightly monitored.

6. Bougainville may seek arbitration if the Papua New Guinea Government does not pay what it says are outstanding grants of $US143 million dollars.

7. A book [i.e. Samoan Heroes] about high achieving Samoans has been launched with the hope that it will inspire Pasifika youth to aim for greatness.
