SUTTON, Douglas
National Museum of New Zealand

Dr Douglas Sutton puts forward new theories that New Zealand was settled
earlier than we thought. He explains how he has come about these
theories and talks about the evidence there is to substantiate his
claims. Dr Sutton is an archaeologist with the Auckland University. Dr
Janet Davidson, the National Museum archaeologist discusses Dr Suttons
claims and says there is a need to step up in our search for earlier
sites of settlement.
