Fisher, F. M. B. (Francis Marion Bates), 1877-1960, Speaker/Kaikōrero

Member of Parliament, F.M.B. Fisher tells about meeting a man who was 110 years of age. This meeting took place in Waikanae about 1910 and the man known as Burling, was still in excellent health. When Fisher arrived he was chopping wood for his fire.
Burling was born in 1800 and recalled as a boy in England seeing the bonfires lit to celebrate Lord Nelson's victory at Trafalgar.
