Salote Tupou III, Queen of Tonga, 1900-1965, Speaker/Kaikōrero

Dubbed from D107 -
"Sir Harry Luke talks about the Queen of Tonga, the Tongan people, their way of life, their personalities and in particular about the Reigning Monarch Queen Salote. It was because of the nature of the Tongan people that Robert Louis Stevenson chose to live his remaining life in Tonga. Queen Salote was in England for the Coronation, on June 2 1953, of Queen Elizabeth II and was the third Polynesian to visit England. Sir Harry said that Queen Salote was a practical, hard working, 20th century leader and talks about the clothes she wore at the Coronation.

Queen Salote of Tonga gives a farewell message to the people of England as she is about to board an aircraft on her return flight to Tonga following her attendance at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth"
