D SERIES - Queen of Rarotonga Farewell Interview. In this recording, an interview is conducted with Makea Nui Takau Ariki, the hereditary Queen of Rarotonga, upon her departure from New Zealand after living here for 12 years.
She talks about her time in New Zealand and the future of Rarotonga.

[The date of this interview is possibly 1940 or 1941, as in an earlier interview from 1940, she said she was due to leave New Zealand in a few months’ time. See ID26098]
