This recording features 'on-the-scene' reports of the anti-tour protest preventing the Springboks versus Waikato rugby match being played at Rugby Park in Hamilton on the 25th of July 1981.

Radio New Zealand sports commentators and news reporters Graeme Moody, Ewart Barnsley, John Cordery and John Howson describe the scene as protestors invade the field, police try to remove them and the game is eventually called off prompting outrage from rugby fans.
