Radio Pacific features on Auckland Tonight a programme about the Mongrel Mob.
Tim Bickerstaff talks with members of the Mongrel Mob gang about how they got into the gang. Also some of the gang dynamics, the different chapters and conflicting ideas. Includes listeners calling in to talk to the the Mongrel Mob spokesman.

Includes sport updates, horse racing and radio commercials.

This programme was sparked by a rape case which took place on December 14th, 1986, in Auckland's Ambury Park, where a woman is raped repeatedly for 9 hours, which is discussed. The rape occurred at a Mongrel Mob convention and photographs were taken of the actual rape. George Manfredos, Mongrel Mob secretary, says that the rape was a setup by internal gang politics and the ones responsible, once identified, were de-patched and thrown out of the gang. Bickerstaff says that four rapes took place that night but went unreported.

The announcer states that the radio station is surrounded by police as the programme is being aired.
