The Rubber Drive. This is a stirring patriotic call for rubber made by the Commercial Broadcasting Service of New Zealand as a part of the World War II war effort.

Listeners are urged to save scrap rubber for the Royal Navy.

The programme features music and a rousing script (written by Dorothy Haigh) which invokes English history and the British Empire, including historical figures such as Queen Elizabeth I and Francis Drake.

The last section ends with the words: "every ounce of rubber is a sacred trust". A particularly good example of wartime propaganda.
