PETROL PRICES: Motorists have been hit with yet another price rise today - all four of the big oil companies putting up the cost of petrol by six cents a litre. Shell and BP have joined Caltex and Mobil, the two companies who lifted their prices this morning, following a rise in the oil prices on the critical Singapore markets. Tim Graham reports. PKG
AUCKLAND-SHOOTING: The police investigating the fatal shooting of a liquor store owner have narrowed their hunt for the killers down to a suburban block in south Auckland. Navtej Singh was shot during an armed robbery at his Manurewa shop on Saturday. Reporter Joy Reid has been at a police media conference in Otahuhu in Auckland and joins us now. LIVE

ABORTION: A lobby group says the law around abortion is a farce and needs updating to give women more of a say in the process. This follows a High Court ruling in favour of the lobby group, Right to Life, which says there's reason to doubt the lawfulness of many abortions authorised by consultants. WHAKATANE POLICE: Video footage has shown at least seven police officers either took part or witnessed a 20-year-old prisoner at the Whakatane police station being extensively pepper sprayed and beaten with batons several times. Four police officers deny various charges of assault with a weapon. The silent video screened to a jury at the Tauranga District Court appears to show an unprovoked attack on Rawiri Falwasser. GANGS-HASTINGS: The police in Hastings say fear of gang retaliation is stopping many people from coming forward with information about a spate of unprovoked attacks.There have been at least four violent assaults in the last two weeks in the suburbs of Flaxmere and Camberley. OIL: A Taranaki oilfield is giving its owners a headache because it is too rich. The Tui oilfield, 50 kilometres off the coast of Opunake, has turned out to have 55 percent more oil than was originally anticipated. That presents its owners with a problem knowing what to do with unexpectedly large amounts of natural gas located there as well. Eric Frykberg reports. PKG
