Interview with Mrs. Scaife of Glendhu Station, Wanaka.

An unidentified female broadcaster interviews Mrs Scaife, who has been on the station for five years, ever since she married. She moved from Dunedin with her husband taking over the farm from his parents.
She describes the work involved in catering for 17 during shearing, cooking half a sheep a day, hot scones and pikelets for morning and afternoon tea. she has two young children.
She says she misses attending films and plays in the city but enjoys country life. She describes the electrical supply to the farmhouse and gives a run-down of her typical day's work.
She is a secretary of the local branch of the Women's Division [of Federated Farmers] and listens to the Countrywomen's Magazine of the Air. She talks about possible schooling options for her children.
