His Excellency Mr Rene Hoffherr, High Commissioner of the French Republic in the Pacific and Governor of New Caledonia has been visiting New Zealand for the past month. He speaks in an address recorded in Wellington before his departure. He talks about the progress in New Zealand agriculture he has been studying and the ties between France and New Zealand. W.F. Ponder, President of New Zealand Association of Architects and Surveyors has opened an architectural exhibition. He says the exhibition is aimed at trying to solve the problem of urban sprawl in New Zealand cities. Soon the population of New Zealand will reach 3 million and they all need to be housed.
