We spotlight Fiji's political and trade relations with New Zealand as the country prepares to receive Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka on his first offical visit here..........

Earlier this year , Richard Naidu was given an indication by the new Fiji government that after five years of exile he would be allowed to return, and he went back to Fiji for a visit.
Richard Naidu says Fiji seemed reasonably relaxed, but he didn't spend a great deal of time trying to feel the pulse of the place.........

Stan Gregec New Zealand's Trade Commissioner in Suva,says that New Zealand's exports are becoming more competitive in the South Pacific region, and Fiji's,domestic economy is being exposed more and more to greater competition from exports.
