This programme features kaumatua Hoani Turei, speaking on the visit to this country by forty women judges from various parts of the world including USA, Canada, Guam, India, Great Britain, the Pacific and other nations.

They were here to mark suffrage year for New Zealand women, and for a symposium held in Wellington to discuss women's issues. The group was led by Dame Silvia Cartwright.

A formal welcome was extended by Ngāti Whatua, tangata whenua of Auckland, and the elders later join Hoani Turei for a trip to Turangawaewae Marae for a formal welcome by Te Arikinui, Te Atairangikaahu and her people.

During the bus trip, the group was given a potted history of Māori history, the New Zealand wars, The Treaty of Waitangi and contemporary initiatives being initiatives by Māori.
Mention also of Māori based justice.
