LOGGIN in the SOLOMONS: An invromentalist activist in the Solomon Islands is
sceptical about the effect of an interim juction on a logging operation on Mona
Island. Land owners on the island are opposed to the operation because they
disagree with a court decision favoring the rights of license holder to log on a
given area on the island. Laurence Makilia of Green peace solomon Islands
talks to Bruce Hill about the issue.

SOUTH PACIFIC arts FESTIVAL: Contemporary art work by Pacific Island artists
will be given prominence at the South Pacific Arts Festival in Apia Western
Samoa in September . Renoun artsist Fatu Feu is organising an exhibition of
contemporary Pacific Art to be included in the arts Festival.
