Radio New Zealand (estab. 1989)

The government has announced a funding deal which will see an improvement in the international shortwave radio service. Jone Dakuvula, Coalition for Democracy in Fiji, says the decision to expand the service is one of the best decision the Labour government has ever made. He talks about the importance of receiving information about New Zealand in the South Pacific countries. Arthur Cushen, a world leader in radio hams and shortband radio, speaks about the benefits of the new service.
