STATION SOUND: Excerpts of all programmes. Margie Sullivan explains the functions of ‘Te Reo o Aotearoa’ in terms of what each programmer does, in that the news is gathered together discussed what is or isn't important, that translated in to seven different languages and spoken on air.

Comment programmes are complied which reflect issues central to Māori and South Pacific communities. Hēnare te Ua speaks on comments for Māori issues. Pacific Island comment programmes are presented by either Sione Jacobsen or Maligi Eveli. Māori news is presented each morning by Purewa Biddle, Wiremu Kerekere, Te Pere Curtis, Tete Tawhara, Muru Walters, and Karaka Rapata.

The Pacific magazine is produced Monday. Samoans, as well as other ethnic groups, such as Cook Island, Niue and Tongan. ‘Tagata atu motu’ is about affairs that are relevant to the Pacific Island community in New Zealand and in the Pacific regions. Sione Jacobsen is producer and presenter of this programme.

‘Herenga kōrero’ draws on current events as a source for its programmes. Wai Finaulangi talks about the Tongan newsletters she produces and presents each week. Vaine Nichols is responsible for the Cook Island programme.
