Tuvalu is taking advantage of the Asian Development Bank Conference in Auckland (next week 2nd May) to look at promoting trade with New Zealand. Director of the South Pacific Trade Office said that Tuvalu has not had the market for their products in New Zealand in the past therefore Tuvalu had decided to mount a mini raid mission to look at some of the trade opportunities in New Zealand.

The combined Pacific Island ocean voyage from Tahiti via the Marchese is preparing for their voyage to Hawaii, the aim of the voyage via the Cook Islands and New Zealand, and Tahiti is to create the ancient voyages of the ancestors using traditional waka and navigational methods.
