Wendt, Albert, 1939-

Samoan poet, novelist and playwrite Albert Wendt talks about his first novel
"Sons for the return home", which was launch in Auckland.

He was born in Western Samoa in 1939. In 1952 he won a scholaship to study
in New Zealand. He attended New Plymouth Boys High School, Ardmore Teachers
Training College, and Victoira University of Wellington. He then went on to teach at
Kuranui College for a year. In 1965 he returned to Samoa and became principal of
Samoa College.

He talks with Selwyn about his book "Sons of the return home".
