Students at the University of Papua New Guinea have called for an end to
the Army participating and patrols on campus following the death of a student
at the weekend.Police are investigating allegations that a third year student
Winz Parbrooke ?? was shot dead during a confrentation with members fo the
defence force that were on patrol at the campus. the president speaks with
RNZI Linda skates about the incident.

The enviromental group GREEN-PEACE is calling on Pacific Island countries to
support world court action against france's ressumption of Nuclear testing in the
Pacific. Greenpeace international legal director Duncan Currie said that a court
action will carry a lot more weight if all the Pacific countries are behind the move.
