Witarina Harris of Ngāti Whakaue is one of Maoridom's grand women, whose cultural identity as a Māori has never been shaken.
As a young woman she worked as a typist in Parliament Building for the late Sir Aiprana Ngata then Minister for Native Affairs and the Cook Islands.

During the fifty four years Witarina lived in Wellington she became a
foundation member of the Ngāti Poneke Māori Cultural Club and three years ago returned to her tribal area of Rotorua.

- Kaikōrero: Witarina talks about Christmas and other events during her life.
