MALARIA: A maleria epidemic has broken out in Papua New Guines highland
and Jimbu province putting more than a million people at risk of contracting the
decease. Malaria a mosqutoe decease can be fatal if not treated early.
Elma Ma'ua asks the Director of PNG's disater and emergency services Leith
Anderson about how and wher it all began.

TV: An Auckland television company is making in roads in Pacific countries
providing international documentrys programmes. Small World television
secured a thirty week programme contract to provide enviromental programmes
to FIJI television through sponsership from the Asian Development Bank.
Sam Thompson speaks with the Head of Television Programme David Jacobs
how they secured the programme with FIJI television.

PACIFIC ARTISTS: Auckland will see the biggest Island concert in Novemeber.
Creative New Zealand has organised a conference that will bring together a
Hundred and fifty Pacific Island Artists and Arts workers from throughout New
Zealand. Sam spoke with Creative New Zealand's Art Advisor Eti Etuati and
asked him what the concert was about.

FIJI CONSULATE CLOSES: Since the closure of the FIJI consulate in Auckland
last November there has been complaints about inconcinience and added costs
to processing documents through the Wellington Embassy. The closure was a
cost cutting move by the FIJI Goverment. FIJI's new Ambassador to Wellington
Esimeli Banimara inherited the job when he took over the office some six weeks
ago. Sam spoke to Banirama about the new position and review the Auckland
position and the cost effect on the country.

The achievers magazine designed competition is on agian and the magazine
publishes sholarships and study grants for New Aealand students of Pacific
Island decent. Elam Ma'au speaks to Ministry of Pacific Island Development
co-ordinator Anna Vincent about how the Trust is involved.
