ALLIANCE POLICY: The Opposition Alliance launched its Pacific Affairs Policy
earlier this week with emphisis on providing resources so Communities can
help themselves.
Alliance Pacific spokesperson Bautafa Patulota Mulitalo told the launch in Otara
that it was now time for pacific people to stand up and be recognised. the current
system does not address the needs of the Pacific people that they have their own
structures in terms of helping their people.

HE TAONGA FILMS; He taonga films has won two major awards at the
International Indigenous Dream Film Awards in Vancover ahead of two hundred
and eighty entries. The awards were two films from the "tala pacific" short
dramas......A day in the life / best drama written by Mario Ngawa and directed
by Gerry Mall, Henry Afo selected as best roll as Cindy, in "talk of the town"
directed by Lani Tupu, written by Lisa Tauma...Elma spoke with Don Selwyn

POETRY COMPETITION: The Whitireia Polytechnic poetry competition is on
again and is calling for entries for its eighth competition which is to be judged by
one of New Zealands formost poets Glory Admin.

Hundred enteries from around NZ which also included some from Austrlia..
