Views of Pacific peoples on nuclear testing.

- kaikōrero: Selwyn Muru talks about the threat of fall out of the Pacific area
through nuclear testing, is greatly feared by those residing within and around the
periphery of the Pacific Basin.
Some babies born around the Mururoa area were found to have defects. In order to highlight the concerns of the Pacific countries, the Prime Minister Norman Kirk, ordered a New Zealand Navy frigate into the testing zone, and later the Attorney General took our case all the way to the World Court at The Hague, but to no avail, the French have continued nuclear tests.
