Recording of an unidentified conference panel discussion about human rights. Most of the participants are lawyers with an interest in human rights.

the discussion opens with an address by Richard Naidu, an Auckland lawyer of Fiji Indian and New Zealand descent who outlines the abuses the Indo-Fijian community suffered after the 1987 coup. He talks about the bias introduced via legislation in Fiji to restrict religious freedoms and the racism experienced by those who are not indigenous Fijians.

Other speakers include lawyers Semi Epati, Nuala Mole and Rodger Haines.
