Sides 1 and 2: Sir Thomas Davis (Pa Te Ariki Davis) is a former Prime Minister of the Cook Islands. An ocean-going sailor and navigator, he was in the forefront of the revival of the ocean going waka traditions of Polynesia spearheaded by the Polynesian Voyaging Society of Hawai'i. He's built a one third size replica of the waka (vaka) Takitumu (Takitimu) and Te Au O Tonga. Affectionately known as Papa Tom. Hēnare te Ua speaks with him in Rarotonga 6.8.95.
