The ocean waka [vaka] Hokule'a prepares to leave Avana Harbour in Rarotonga to return to Hawaii during the 6th Festival of Pacific Arts, Rarotonga, and [Te Maire Nui] October 1992.
Begins with Hector [Hekenukumai] Busby distant [inaudible] and unidentified person conducting a blessing.
Hēnare te Ua begins a commentary which includes Hokule'a skipper Clay Bertelmann.
Hector Busby [spoken in Māori language says, Tomorrow we will begin preparing Te Aurere for her return journey to Aotearoa.
A spokesperson for the 6th Festival of Pacific Arts; Pa Tuteranginui Ariki [former Cook Islands Prime Minister, Vaka builder; Vaka Skipper; Yachtsman, Navigator, Historian, Writer, MD; who was formerly seconded to the USA's National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA) and Raconteur] Sir Thomas Davis. Continues;
